Develop Your Know Like And Trust Factor

Business owners can find it challenging to give up the reins to be able to scale their business and have it work without them; becoming self-sustaining.  Some feel “nobody can do it better than me”, but for others, the concern is what am I going to do if I don’t do everything?  The answer is content, content, content! You wouldn’t feel comfortable jumping out of a plane with someone you didn’t like, and trust (even if you haven’t known them long).  Your clients are the same.  You have to develop the know, like, and trust factor with them over time through your content.

Outsourcing is about delegating tasks to others so that you can focus on your core competency.  The thing that you’re the best at. Then you can better use your time for other things that you have to do, including creating content and developing your know, like, and trust factor.  Many people are not skilled at social media and should outsource this task.  With outsourcing, someone can create graphics, videos, and posts for you. Taking some of the pressure off.

One thing that others can’t create for you is  “You”.  You are your business and the “Know, Like, and Trust” factor is all about “You”. Sharing your expertise and adding value for your audience with the knowledge that only you have is something that you can’t delegate for the most part.  You can start to create a library of your content including, audio, video, and print then your team can put this to use as a source for content. Creating my content is one of the areas I still struggle with. After over 35 years in corporate, talking about my own business doesn’t come naturally, but it’s getting easier as I continue to increase my visibility. It’s not easy, but it’s imperative to open up the kimono (so to speak) and show your expertise, your knowledge, your vulnerability, along with fun.  It is all part of content creation. This is something that you cannot outsource. No one knows the knowledge in your head and they can’t become you.  As much as you can teach others aspects, of the creative process, content is all on you to do yourself.

Did you consider, that when you write a blog or article, deliver a presentation, or interview these become content assets.  You can make use of these for posting, on your website, direct messaging, or email campaigns.

Here are 3 Simple Steps To Assist In Your Content Creation 

  1. Record all your presentations, interviews, or podcasts.
  2. Use the transcript from audio or video from the sources noted in step one
  3.  On a separate document, save the copy from posts.  Your team can search this later based on the various topics that you have expertise in.   All elements of your copy can become excerpts for posting.

 

Here is a Free Easy Way To Get The Copy As Transcripts From Video:

  • Upload your video to Loom
  • Click on “transcript” in the right-hand corner of your video
  • Click on the “copy Transcript” icon and paste the transcript into a  document
  • Review the transcript, make any necessary corrections, now you have copy to use for content.
